
A rather spicy Riesling from Koerner, this 2019 vintage Watervale was made with hand-picked grapes from vines planted back in 1974. It was fermented in a combination of ceramic amphora, steel and Slavonian oak for two months. A pretty unique wine, it should go pretty well alongside roast chicken.
Tropical fruits such as papaya and banana sit alongside chalky minerality, tannic grape skin and tart orchard fruit, with some oak spice appearing.
