We’ve selected some of the best rums for sipping neat right here.
Eminente Reserva 7 Year Old is distilled from 100% Cuban sugar cane. Aged in a mixture of ex-bourbon casks, it boasts deep, complex notes of dark cherry, chocolate, and tobacco, and is a cracking rum to drink neat. Try with a squeeze of lime if you fancy adding some extra zest. For one of the fanciest rums that money can buy, Mount Gay PX Sherry Cask Expression - The Master Blender Collection needs no embellishment, except perhaps a nice heavy tumbler.

Rum Based Twists on Classic Cocktails
Shed a whole new light on your favourite classic cocktails by switching out the traditional base spirit for rum. Older rums can share many characteristics with other oak-aged spirits, making them ideal for spirit-forward cocktails and short serves. Where tradition calls for botanicals, why not try mixing things up with spiced rum instead?
Canerock is built upon a core of aged Jamaican rums, infused with Madagascan vanilla pod, Jamaican ginger, Caribbean coconut, and other botanicals. A portion of the rum is treated to a stay in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks to develop the flavours further, making it an ideal candidate for a rum-based twist on a Negroni. If you’re in the mood for an Old Fashioned, the rich, smooth, and sweet profile of Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva from Venezuela ought to lend itself perfectly.
