Lindisfarne

Lindisfarne Mead originated in the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, located off the northeast coast of England. The company can trace its production back to the late 1950s but the inspiration for Lindisfarne goes back much further, to the 7th Century and the rich ecclesiastical history of the Island from the time St Aidan’s monastery was founded on the Island in 643AD. St. Aidan's Winery now carries on the tradition, creating a traditional mead that has been enjoyed all across the world, from Taiwan to the United States, with over 2,500,000 bottles of the Original sold. You can enjoy Lindisfarne Mead as a dessert wine or aperitif, served chilled, at room temperature, or even warmed, depending on personal preference.
