Vina Arana Reserva 2004 Bottling Note

La Rioja Alta benefits from being at a high altitude to the rest of the Rioja region and produces some of the regions finest wines. The 2004 vintage was excellent in Spain and this can be seen in this Vina Arana. The wine is a blend of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Mazuelo grapes and was aged for three years in third-fill American oak cask. Truly sublime!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Dried fruits and red berries on the nose with a little leather as well leading to further sweet red fruits and some citrus flavours on the palate with some acidity to it. If you enjoy the Vina Ardanza you may enjoy this under-stated sibling.
