'08 Poliziano Vino Nobile Bottling Note

Poliziano was founded in 1961 on a Southern facing slope near the old town hill in Montepulciano. The predominate grape grown is a regional clone of Sangiovese called Prugnolo Gentile. This wine is made of that grape and not the Montepulciano grape which ironically is not grown near the town of Montepulciano.

A floral aroma with an underlying earthy character leads to red fruits and firm tannins on the palate. The finish is drying with a chocolatey edge.
