'09 Ken Forrester Gypsy Bottling Note

Ken Forrester specialises in making parcels of wine from single vineyards. The grapes for this wine were selected from low-yielding vines. Vine which produce fewer grapes are essentially putting more effort into making the grapes that are growing resulting in concentrated sugars which are ideal for fermentation. The Gypsy is made from a Rhone blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedre grapes.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

A spicy aroma of winter spices notably cinnamon, nutmeg and mixed spice followed by vanilla and intense red fruit on the palate with a long peppery finish. This wine will easily be drinking for ten years or so.
