First Drop Shiraz 2010 Bottling Note

This is a delicious 2010 vintage Shiraz from First Drop in the Barossa valley. It was made with grapes from the Ebenezer, Greenock and Seppeltsfield vineyards. It was aged in 35% new French oak hogsheads, and 65% 3-to-4-year-old French oak hogsheads. It was given the nickname "Two Percent" as the blend contains 2% Tempranillo, which adds a little extra fruit and richness.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Rich dark fruits and spices. Hints of blackberry jam and cherry.

Palate: Morello cherry and big spices. Hints of toasted oak, cocoa and cooked fruit.

Finish: Chocolate-y, rich finish.
