Half and Half Shiraz 2009 Bottling Note

This is a 50:50 blend of Shiraz and Monastrell (Spanish for Mouvredre) hence the name 'Half and Half', from the First Drop winery in Barossa, Australia.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Violets and dark soil with higher notes of cherry and nutmeg on the nose. The palate is medium bodied with Shiraz spice and some cherry fruit notes too. This is a savoury wine with grainy tannins ideal for pork-based stews and rich tomato dishes.
