'07 Balnaves Cabernet Bottling Note

Doug Balnaves was a sheep shearer before he became a winemaker in 1971. He was paid by the tally of the number of sheep he had sheared, the higher the number the greater the respect for the shearer. This is the attitude behind the Tally Reserve. The aim is to produce a wine of prestige, with many claiming this is the greatest expression of Cabernet Sauvignon in Australia it seems they are on their way to success!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Blackcurrants, dark chocolate and blue flowers lead into cedar wood, cassis fruits and spice on the palate with fine but distinct tannins. The finish is long, complex and satisfying - a truly stunning Cabernet.
