A gloriously rich and full-bodied Catalonian red wine, produced by the Álvaro Palacios winery. This 2020 vintage combines a blend of garnacha, syrah, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and cariñena grapes grown in the Priorat region and after fermentation, it's treated to a four month rest in oak vats and barrels. A perfect pairing for rich meat and root vegetable dishes.
Dark, earthy fruits lead the way with notes of blackberries, plums, and currants, before lighter red berries, tart raspberries and cherries join. Soft vanilla brings balance with lingering notes of oaky pepper, drying herbs, finishing up with yet more jammy fruit.
