This Aussie whisky comes from the island state of Tasmania. When they are not being harassed by the Tasmanian devils they produce some of the best whisky being made south of the Equator at this moment. The whisky in this bottle was finished in French Oak Port Casks for a fruity flavour.
Melted dark chocolate and red wine gums open up a big fruity nose. Hints of anise, white pepper and coconut.
Jelly babies and a little more white pepper dominate the palate entry with cinnamon and a lick of fresh cut grass developing.
The finish is swift but substantial with fruitcake notes.
A full-bodied whisky that showcases what the Australians are doing well.

Also going to find something from a local shop. Can't believe how poor of an experience it has been trying to get a bottle of this from this site.
First of all you can't pre-pay for and reserve a bottle. Then the price gets hiked up by £50. Such little stock comes in that they sell out in an hour and forever more we're promised that if we continue to watch this space and keep looking out for new deliveries we may or may not get a delivery. Oh, and the price has just gone up again by £5 more. I give up. It's only a whisky. I'm off to buy a nice bottle of rum from the fabulous local shop....
I see another £20 added, at this rate most Whisky lovers are not going to be able to afford it, which is a real shame as its such a great dram.
Another price increase?
By December the price will be £200+ ?
