This Aussie whisky comes from the island state of Tasmania. When they are not being harassed by the Tasmanian devils they produce some of the best whisky being made south of the Equator at this moment. The whisky in this bottle was finished in French Oak Port Casks for a fruity flavour.
Melted dark chocolate and red wine gums open up a big fruity nose. Hints of anise, white pepper and coconut.
Jelly babies and a little more white pepper dominate the palate entry with cinnamon and a lick of fresh cut grass developing.
The finish is swift but substantial with fruitcake notes.
A full-bodied whisky that showcases what the Australians are doing well.

I keep pointing out to people that Overeem is as good as or better than Sullivans cove and it's made in Tasmania in the same town and in the same way with the same ingredients and is a viable alternative to Sullivans cove French oak port cask. I'm sure you all will love it just as much as sullies French oak in fact I'm dam sure you will. As with what @Not right at all ! had said below and I'm in complete agreement with that post that some thing has to be done about this but in the mean time why the good folk at M.O.M sort this diabolical issue out try my recommendation it's just as good !
They should be a reserve system where you can pay 90% or 100% of the price and such as it is this system for this particular whisky is so unfair and I'm aware MOM can not make every one happy but it's looking like to me as said below MOM are losing good customers over this whisky and it's about time something should be done about this. You can not right a wrong with another wrong MOM !
Sorry to post again, but the price was increased again. Did you see that people were rushing to get the bottle so you wanted to make an extra buck? This is now the same price as other sites, so that is where I will be going. Master of Malt, is the best site on the web for most things whisky, but this is not good practice.
Yep. After seeing how M.O.M. handles distribution of this, the rating reflects my experience and the poor quality of distribution control. Maybe the distillery will pull their product from this site. One can only hope.
So you give the product a bad review because the distributor couldnt get a hold of enough bottles to meet the demand?
