This Aussie whisky comes from the island state of Tasmania. When they are not being harassed by the Tasmanian devils they produce some of the best whisky being made south of the Equator at this moment. The whisky in this bottle was finished in French Oak Port Casks for a fruity flavour.
Melted dark chocolate and red wine gums open up a big fruity nose. Hints of anise, white pepper and coconut.
Jelly babies and a little more white pepper dominate the palate entry with cinnamon and a lick of fresh cut grass developing.
The finish is swift but substantial with fruitcake notes.
A full-bodied whisky that showcases what the Australians are doing well.

We need more we need more we need more we need more we need more we need more !
Sullavans cove have come on a long way in leap and bounds since they used to be called "Sullavans sox". All though I didn't taste it back then before it was bought out and was meticulously overhauled I have it from a very reliable source that it was just to young and was not using all the advantages Tasmania have to bring to fruit beutaful whisky now days we have from the best whisky in the world. Some how or some way Sullavans cove's new owners have just got it right and have pulled off a master stroke in LIMITED whisky production so they have gone for quality rather than quantity and the Whisky world is clambering for more of this stuff rather like we saw on tv with Black Friday sales and customers !.
When is it coming back in stock?
I'm sorry but the only unfair advantage here is to us. People who have ordered a bottle one day can order another the next day or in the following days is unfair and there is no measure of a system than can insure fairness it's also bad practice to increase prices due to demand that from what I know do not reflect the true costs involved in selling this and getting this product to us. It seems pretty self evident that prices were bumped up to bring yours into line with other online whisky vendors which was done not before but after the other online whisky vendors has put there bottles on sale.
I'm sure we would all be greatful to hear what is been considered as to what is been done about people getting or reserving a bottle of Sullivans cove French oak cask and stopping people who have already purchased a bottle a few days or weeks ago so that we all have a chance to taste the best whisky in the world ?. Also more samples for drinks by the dram of Sullivans cove would be a good idea so people can have a taste if they are unable to purchase a bottle. Thank you kindly for your reply to us all !
