Strega

Strega is a popular Italian digestif. It is made with a variety of herbs and spices (around 70) including mint, fennel and saffron (from which it gets its yellow colour). Spicy and minty, it is a great liqueur. The word "Strega" means "Witch" in Latin.

A vital, unique inclusion to an Autumn Leaves, Jeffrey Morgantaller’s beautiful creation for this time of year. Also a necessary for a Strega Statione, which whilst lovely tastes medicianal.
I have been drinking this since my first visit to Italy more than fifty years ago. Splendid stuff. Give it a try.
I had this for the first time at Pisa Airport. A strong flavour. Wonderful
Strega is delicious, wonderful aperitif/digestif that will keep you coming back for more. If you can find the slightly more expensive "Strega Riserva" its even better but this wont disappoint any lover of Amaro.
Strega is delicious and is lovely after an Italian.
