The Deacon Whisky distillery

Sovereign Brands, makers of Bumbu Rum and Luc Belaire, introduces "The Deacon". It's a blended Scotch whisky. The name comes from the Scottish word for a skilled worker. The Deacon mixes smoky whiskies from Speyside with peaty ones from Islay. This creates a balanced, smoky drink that's good in cocktails.

The nose combines earthy, sweet smoke with candied citrus. The taste has balanced peat with spiced fruitcake and zesty orange. It ends with a smoky finish and caramel hints. Recognised as "Summer 2023 Best Value" by Whisky Advocate, The Deacon offers a unique Scotch experience. It has rich flavours and a complex design. The bottle is inspired by the traditional copper pot stills used in distillation.
