This is a legendary Puglian wine. The name Bocca di Lupo means 'mouth of the wolf' and it's a 100% organic estate that belongs to Tormaresca. It's made from 100% aglianico, a grape native to Southern Italy though it's more usually found in Campania, to produce a powerful, robust red that's also not short of elegance and fragrance especially in a cooler vintage like 2018. This will need decanting before serving with suitably robust food.
Big rich fruit like bittersweet black cherries with dark chocolate, spice, and camphor. Firm ripe tannins relax to reveal subtle herbal/ floral notes.
