This 2019 vintage Rioja from Roda is made with grapes from old vines, predominantly Tempranillo with just a smidge of Graciano. Rested in French oak barriques for 14 months, its bursting with red fruit and spice that ought to pair perfectly with a rich beef stew.
Sweet cherries and plums, with plenty of red fruits and cocoa powder, a good balance of toasted oak with vanilla, nutmeg, and soft leather.
