Meerlust is one of South Africa's oldest and most famous estate. It's best known wine is Rubincon, a red Bordeaux blend, but it's equally good at white wine. This is matured for up to a year in French oak barrels, around 50% of which are new, to create a spicy nutty white that would be superb with all kinds of fish dishes especially if butter is involved.
Citrus, orchard fruit and marzipan on the nose. Fresh and zingy on the palate with a long toasty finish.
