Méthode Cap Classique is the term used by South African winemakers for their high quality sparkling wine. To qualify for the term, you must use the classic varieties and the techniques from a certain region of France famous for its sparkling wines. Quality is high but prices are not, so if you're celebrating or having a party, then look no further. This example from Kleine Zalze is made from chardonnay and pinot noir and we think you'll struggle to find a better sparkling wine for the money.
Green apples and lemons on the palate, zingy and sherberty, with no shortage of biscuity richness on the finish.

This has got to be the worst-tasting sparkling wine, I had to pour it down the sink. It tastes really cheap and awful.
