Joseph Drouhin Pouilly-Vinzelles 2020 75cl

A lovely drop of white Burgundy here from Maison Joseph Drouhin, one of the most prestigious and reliable houses in the region. This is 100% chardonnay from the Maconnais, the southern bit of Burgundy which is home to some increasingly good wines. It's made up of wines that are fermented in oak and some in stainless steel before ageing for up to eight months in barrels with some lees stirring. This gives it a subtle creaminess to go with its refreshing fruit. Food wise, this is very versatile: roast chicken, goat's cheese, and simple fish dishes would all go brilliantly.
