Writers Tears is a light, sweet Irish whiskey made using a mix of single pot still and single malt whiskeys, resulting in oodles of honeyed, fruity notes. Wonderfully easy to drink, it would make for a great introduction to Irish whiskey for folks new to the spirit. (No writers were harmed in the making of this whiskey.)
Soft and sweet with thick honey spread on granary toast. Hints of citrus peels.
Honey develops on the palate. Mellow notes of vanilla and golden malt. Green apple skin, caramel and a hint of oak.
Warming, sweet and long.
Very yummy Irish whiskey indeed.

Buy it. ..sip it ...enjoy it and Love it
Bit rough. Oily. Can get used to it. Different and for me sits between the Hankey Bs, JW Red and JW Black. There is a segment there and this is worth the price at that level.
Very nice stuff. It's smooth but there's also a lot of depth of flavour, long finish and a bit of heat. Thumbs up
Overall scent of circus/funfair - cotton candy caramel. Taste is vanilla and malty sweet. Long finish, nice and warm. I'm no expert - this just how i found it. Cheers SPB
