A blended Irish whiskey from The Quiet Man range (not named after the John Wayne film, but rather after the father of the brand owner - he was a bartender who heard many stories during his time behind the bar but told no tales). Before bottling, the whiskey is finished in first-fill bourbon barrels.
Icing sugar, fresh tropical fruit, green banana and honey.
Creamy vanilla, toasted cereals, more honey, marmalade.
Faint spiciness of cinnamon and peppery oak.
$32.35 - $70.48
This is the first Irish whiskey I've tried. (My intro to whiskeys was small batch Kentucky bourbon as I lived there.) I enjoyed it very much. I found it sweet and light with a pleasant spicy after taste.
Very good like a scotch. Did not expect this thought it would be more like whiskey.
I am a fan and lover of Irish whiskey; this, however, is not good. It’s rough and harsh in the mouth and the flavour profile is dirty and acrid. There are far better products from which to choose that are in the blended category.
Only a few choice words are neccessary...delicious, amazing, perfectly ideal and smooooooooooth.
I agree with "Awful" not sure what's wrong but it conjures up the true meaning of "Rot Gut Whiskey".. not a pleasant taste or finish.
