10 year old Tamdhu single malt here, independently bottled by the brilliant Douglas Laing! This one was distilled back in June 2009 and set aside to mature in a refill hogshead for a decade, and bottled at 46% ABV in June 2019 with an outturn of 409 bottles. Yet another tasty expression from the Provenance range.
Honey, caramel and sponge cake, with a touch of malt.
Hints of citrus sharpness, followed by more toffee and barley.
Light wafts of peppery heat on the finish. Waxy peels and candied ginger.

I'm using this one to make mixed drinks. It's great as a mixer. Not so good alone.
Bought a bottle of this while strolling on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh in October 2019. The tastes mentioned seem to be accurate, this is why I liked it. I haven't opened it yet, I brought a 750 ml bottle back to the USA to drink on special occasions.
