
A part of Starward Distillery's excellent Project series, this Australian single malt was distilled in 2018 and then matured in small octave barrels which previously held The Octavius Shiraz from Yalumba. It was bottled up in 2021 at a big 48% ABV and those small barrels provided plenty of extraction in that Melbourne climate, so expect oodles of rich, spicy, and fruity flavours.
Toffee apple, acacia honey, stewed plums, and orange peel.
Red berries, aromatic spice, dried fruit, and some herbaceousness on the palate.
Long and full of oak and fruit.
