This is the second addition to the 'Spot' range of Irish whiskeys, which contains the famous Green Spot Pot Still Whiskey. The Yellow Spot is a single pot still Irish whiskey which has been matured in three types of cask: American bourbon cask, Spanish sherry butts and Spanish Malaga casks for a sweeter flavour.
There are masses of fleshy stone fruit on the nose, especially peach and apricot with hints of sherried dried fruit and bourbon cask vanilla.
The palate is equally fruity with a substantial body and a velvety texture.
The finish is long and sweet with notes of marzipan and dried apricots.
This is very different to the Green Spot we all know and love with a delicious sweetness to it and a firmer body.

A favourite. Zesty banana vanilla toffee. Bright refreshing. Moresh
Stunning...different everyday beautiful depth of sweetness and spices can't stop drinking it tbh
The taste of this whiskey is worthy of five stars. However, in my opinion, there is nothing to justify the premium that you pay for this over Powers John’s Lane 12 or Rebbreast 12. Powers JL 12 is my favourite of the three and Redbreast 12 offers the best value for the money. If you love this style of whiskey and haven’t had this, I guess you owe it to yourself to give this a try. If you’re just curious, start with the Redbreast. For what it’s worth I paid $84 for this. Where I live the Powers goes for $60 and the Redbreast $48. Green Spot goes for $54.
Not as dramatic as NAS Green Spot, tamed. Probably the most subtle and delicate Single Pot Stills out there. Sweet, and the spicy kick is gentle but long, oposite to Green Spot's sharper but shorter peppery kick. Too easy to drink, it will finish quickly so you've been warned.
Absolutley awesome
