    Product details

North British 51 Year Old 1959 (cask 67876) - Cask Strength Collection Rare Reserve (Signatory)

A very well-aged North British single grain Scotch whisky, bottled for Signatory's Cask Strength Collection Rare Reserve - a range for very desirable independently bottled whiskies. This was distilled back in December 1959, left to mature in a refill butt and bottled in January 2011. Only 289 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Dense with poached apple, caramel and blueberry. A touch of smoke begins to work its way out from the centre later on.

    Palate

Buttery, chocolatey and elegantly oak-y. More light smoke, with a little touch of orange peel.

    Finish

    Cinnamon, clove and buttery shortbread.
