This Signatory Mortlach 14 Year Old bottling was drawn from a pair of hogshead casks which were filled in September 2002 and cracked open in March 2017. A Highland single malt Scotch whisky of natural colour, it would be remiss not to consider the latest offering from the much-respected Mortlach distillery.
Fresh sawdust and toasted almonds lathered in honey.
Cinnamon and charred oak spice break waves of soft smoke and rich caramel.
Smooth, balanced, really satisfying.
