Here we have the Signature single malt whisky from Australia's Morris Distillery. The family run distillery has its origins as a winery and makes good use of the leftover barrels from the wine production. This expression is aged in fortified wine barrels giving it an intensely rich profile with a good helping of sweet, fruity character – a great after dinner sipper.
Fruity from the start with crisp apples and pears balancing the rich depth of dried fruits and dark chocolate.
Biscuity malt with mounds of dark cherries and berries, bitter dark chocolate, and zingy orange zest.
Rich and unctuous, the boozy soaked fruits continue with fruit cake sweetness and spice.

Tried this after reading the MOM review Glad I did as initially I thought it was as good as Redbreast ---But its even better than that I would not pass this bottle to my whisky drinking friends as I know I would not get it back !!
The nose is strong with orchard fruits...think green apples so fresh there's still dew on them...and a pile of dark chocolate. The palatte is a very deep rounded flavour, crumbled chocolate digestive biscuits and cherries, just a dash of orange peel before the finish goes all cake-ish and almost like a brandy aftertaste, quite sweet but delicously lingersome. Is that a word? It is now.
