Croftengea 13 Year Old 2005 - Old Malt Cask (Hunter Laing)
Peaty single malt whisky from Loch Lomond, released under the Croftengea name. This one was aged for 13 years, from February 2005 to August 2018, before being bottled for Hunter Laing's Old Malt Cask range with an outturn of 428 bottles. It's also part of a release celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Old Malt Cask range - here's to many more!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toasted pine nuts, sea salt, brown sugar and thyme honey.
Palate
Brown bread and salted popcorn, with just a touch of pecan pie sweetness.
Finish
Grilled fruit, vanilla and lingering bonfire embers.
