    Lark Single Malt Cask Strength

Awarded a Gold Medal at the 2011 World Whiskeys Masters, this cask strength whisky from the Tasmanian distillery, Lark, is a belter. Lots of rich notes of toffee and peat, this is a small batch product with oodles of charm!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

A sweet, rich, spicy nose with a good touch of nutmeg, gives way to vanilla, honey and spices. A little turmeric too perhaps.

    Palate

Big and oily. More than a hint of ginger, with apples, vanilla cream, pears and pastry. It's a very big whisky, and whilst not massively complex, more than compensates with a huge intensity of flavour.

    Finish

Lasts for a long, long time. Big on dry spices and clove-studded oranges.

    Angels Wee

Angels Wee . To say that this whisky is a revelation to the senses would be a gross understatement! This is by far and away the best value whisky on planet earth ! Should be more than twice the asking price and more in line with the stupendous prices now asked for Japanese Whisky ! Absolutely blows any so called premium Japanese Whisky out of the water ! Try it once and you’ll be singing it’s praises !

    A journey to Heaven

Lark cask strength an absolute bargain when comparing it with Sullivan’s Cove of equal RRP. I would rate it around 93/100 and a must try for any serious scotch lover.

    A wonderful single malt

This is one of the finest examples of a craft distillery bottling I've experienced. With a wonderful sweet and spicy nose with a light and peaty hint because of Tasmania's softer peat. Having a honest cast strength of 58% only adds to it's magnificent attainment. This is indeed a world class single malt that I've search for against the many finer single malts worldwide. I have no doubt that any single malt lover would agree.
