Knob Creek Kentucky Straight Bourbon is an utter classic small batch whiskey from Jim Beam, first created by Booker Noe and introduced in 1992. It was named after the creek which flows near where Abraham Lincoln grew up.
Quite spicy and sweet. Melted salty butter on granary toast, toasty oak and a touch of rye with caramel sweetness.
Peppy and full. Notes of candy floss and nut oil, a touch of spice and dark chocolate, a little spice and charred oak.
Long with a touch of dryness, nut oils and vanilla spice.
$31.85 - $67.63
Solid, flavorful, robust bourbon. This is a rich, classic bourbon. Not to dry, but plenty of oak and spice, pepper and caramel corn, vanilla, slight cherry cola, hint of chocolate, wisp of mocha and the cask makes itself none in the finish. A little nutty too, like roasted peanuts and hazelnuts. Great value and a bottle I will always keep in my home bar. Makes a great old fashioned too. Enjoyable and at 100 proof, holds up on the rocks, which is nice.
A very commendable pre-Prohib style bourbon. Flavors of caramel, chocolate, oaky vanilla, dark fruits (prune, raisin, etc.), and a touch of spice. My favorite bourbon in the low end of the premium price category.
A staple this one if you like bourbon this should always be in the collection. Good drinking higher proof bourbon that goes great with a coke.
Close your eyes, take in the aroma and knock back a shot - I felt like a cowboy in the old west, it’s dusty, dry, woody and brilliant. The Clint Eastwood of Bourbons!
Spicy and strong. Im mixing it with old jamaica ginger beer and it tastes very nice.
