The Black edition from Jim Beam is a marriage of whiskeys aged for 8 years before bottling at 43%, slightly higher than the standard bourbon proof, proffering greater complexity.
Sadly now discontinued, why not try the newer Jim Beam Double Oak?
The nose is quite complex and well-balanced. There are notes of crème anglaise and butterscotch, mixed dried peels and nuts, a hint of aniseed and lovely cereal sweetness. The palate is full and thick with fruit. There are notes of vanilla fudge and honey, cereal sweetness, plenty of rye with a hint of cooked fruit. The finish is of good length with a touch of toasty oak spice.
£3.82 - £19.95
Have drunked a couple of bottles of this, and its ok in any sence. But it lacks a clear profile. I see many say its not a sipper, for me its neither a sipper or best in cocktails. On the other hand i can use it both as a sipper or in drinks , either way it works but its not great.
Just got a bottle for a birthday gift yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. When they say Caramel on the tongue they weren't kidding. There are 11 different bourbon choices in my cabinet and I would be happy to keep a regular bottle of Jim Beam black in the lineup. We followed up with an Eagle Rare chaser and then went back to the Black. Good bourbon for the price
Great bourbon for the price. Goes amazing on the rocks, it opens up even more flavour
The most fantastic bourbon whiskey in the world. My Rom vitrin is now bottle of Jim Beam Black whiskey and always gonna drink this.
Just bought a bottle for £12 from amazon!!! So at that price I’m sure it will taste even better.
