    Jim Beam Black Label

The Black edition from Jim Beam is a marriage of whiskeys aged for 8 years before bottling at 43%, slightly higher than the standard bourbon proof, proffering greater complexity.

Sadly now discontinued, why not try the newer Jim Beam Double Oak?

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite complex and well-balanced. There are notes of crème anglaise and butterscotch, mixed dried peels and nuts, a hint of aniseed and lovely cereal sweetness. The palate is full and thick with fruit. There are notes of vanilla fudge and honey, cereal sweetness, plenty of rye with a hint of cooked fruit. The finish is of good length with a touch of toasty oak spice.

BEST Bourbon on the market at a FAIR PRICE!!!

Tried Jim Beam Black when it first came out at a Ueta Duty Free store on the border with Mexico. The introductory price was $7/Bottle and it came with a nice Cocktail glass. Wasn't long before I had a full collection of glasses, although now I wish I had more. The price was great, but the taste was what made the true difference. My friends and family thanked me for my RARE find. For those who want to pay more, have at it, but I buy for the taste and Jim Beam Black is it!!!

My vote for Jim Beam Black, you are the BEST!!!

The BEST Bourbon I have yet to entertain I give a huge BRAVO to the Jim Beam Makers. A great bourbon at any price and looking forward to trying the Double Oak and the Devil's Cut. Original Jim Beam was a rough and therefore a cheaper Bourbon and to develop and produce what the majority consider the Best Bourbon in America is quite an accomplishment and at a very reasonable price. Have tried Woodford Reserve and Makers Mark and yes you are good, but not the BEST!!!

    So so

Bought as a duty free waiting the channel tunnel ferry. Delayed. It is all right. But best for mixing. Not a sipping bourbon. Am no expert , but I thought the flavor thin and not specially aged. I drink Makers Mark, Woodford Reserve, Heaven Hill. Normally.

    Best for making a cocktail.

A little thin on the palate. Easy to drink neat. Best use is to make a Manhattan with it.

    Decent nothing special

Not bad, I'm usually a Scotch drinker but this tastes very typical and average for a bourbon, smooth enough going down, the price for me bumps it up from 3 to 3.5, not much to it but pleasant
