A bottling of 14 year old Glentauchers from The Single Cask, an indie bottling range from a whisky bar in Singapore which shares its name. This was distilled in January 2002, matured in cask #15827 and bottled in February 2016.
Jim Murray named this whisky Best Single Malt Scotch 11-15 Years (Single Cask) in his Whisky Bible 2017.
Toasty malt and barley sugar, lightly floral with a hint of sugared almond.
More full-bodied malt notes at the core, complemented by spiced biscuits and light honey sweetness.
Subtly earthy, with brown sugar and cinnamon.

Took a 'punt' on this and so glad I did. Lovely brown sugar and strong honey notes. Very different to anything else that I have in my collection ...... not hugely complex but delicious!
