Sherry
Distilled at Glenrothes in 2014, this single malt spent the next decade maturing in a host of oloroso sherry butts. The whisky was independently bottled in 2024 at a bold 57.1% ABV for Signatory's 100 Proof Edition.
Just purchased this bottling and I must admit it is overpowered by the sherry.It has quite a bitter palate and it seems like sherry overkill.A little water does smoothe it out a bit,but not a great sherry bottling for me.
