Part of the initial relaunch of GlenAllachie's core range following Billy Walker (formerly of BenRiach) purchasing the distillery in 2017, the 25 Year Old is the oldest of the four released (also including a 10 Year Old Cask Strength, a 12 Year Old and an 18 Year Old). It was matured in American oak, Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso casks for quarter of a century before being bottled at 48% ABV.
Fruit cake, polished oak, walnut loaf and waxy orange.
Pecan, chocolate orange, still enjoyably cake-y. Mature wood notes stick around at the core.
Lingering cassia and black pepper, balanced by dried fruit sweetness.
