Gooderham & Worts was a distillery owned by Hiram Walker in Canada. Given that's a bit of a mouthful of a name, the brand went by G&W. The trademark was purchased by Laird and Company in the 1970s and today the producer still purchases bourbon barrel fillings from a well-established Kentucky distillery and then bottles them at its facility in New Jersey under the G&W brand. The mashbill is 72% corn then equal proportions of malted barley and rye.
Apple pie, white pepper, toffee, and vanilla.
Butterscotch, nutmeg, orchard fruit, and more creamy vanilla.
Clove and caramel.
I've tasted worst, I've tried about 60 different bourbons, this would be about bottom third. Doesn't have any of the usual vanilla of fruity flavours, lacks any real punch yet at the same time is quite bitter and thin tasting. It has a bit of a kick, but it's not bad. I only drink bourbon straight, so may be a good one with a mixer, although it's ok to drink straight. I'm glad I tried it, I wouldn't buy it again though.
