A brand that dates back to the late 19 century. This Yellow Label bottling of Four Roses was released for the European and Japanese markets and is made up of whiskeys aged between 5 and 6 years of age.
Sweet, creamy aromas. Hints of Seville orange marmalade and lemon zest. A hint of corn sweetness and caramel.
Balanced, rich palate entry with marmalade and acacia honey. Cinnamon, lemon and oak.
Oaky, spiced finish.
Great taste, good quality, will buy again
As a seasoned whisky fan, tried bourbon a while back and like whisky enjoyed the journey exploring different types and styles. Not a JD fan, but this entry level four roses bourbon knocks spots off higher priced bottles, along with bulleit arguably the best on the market, don't dilute either, sip neat and enjoy,,
brilliant as a shot in black coffee. someone mentioned JD, JD's also brilliant for the purpose but Four Roses has it beat.
This is not an attractive beverage. Thin, sweet, with off rye notes. Deeply unpleasant.Neither fish nor fowl : not rich or deep, not elegant or interesting. Industrial stuff. Evan Williams is ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE better.
I really like this one, can be put in the same row as JD and Jim Beam! Very good Bourbon! Sweet taste; vanilla like!
