    Evan Williams Extra Aged (43%)

Evan Williams is a brand of whiskey that has been around since 1783. The Evan Williams Extra Aged variety is a newer addition to the line, and it's made with Evan Williams' signature Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. This whiskey is aged for a minimum of seven years in new, charred oak barrels.

Evan Williams Extra Aged whiskey has a rich, amber colour and a distinctively smooth flavour. It's perfect for sipping on its own or using in cocktails. If you're looking for a truly unique whiskey experience, Evan Williams Extra Aged is definitely worth trying.

Rich with vanilla and caramel on the nose which continues on the palate, it's produced by the Heaven Hill company in Kentucky.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Finish

Quite spicy, with drying notes of cinnamon bark and pine nuts.

A lovely all round very good Bourbon Whisky,

I’ve been drinking Bourbon for a whole lot of years, from when I tour the American Base’s in the U.K.,in the sixties, where I got the taste for Bourbon Whisky, all that I have drank,I must say I find that Evan Williams come out tops,it’s very smooth, beautiful for sipping,on the rocks or with a splash of ginger ale,I cannot find one to beat it,

Best bourbon i've tasted so far!

If it still carried a 7 year old age statement i would've given this bourbon a 5 star rating. I've tried many other more expensive bourbons and i keep coming back to Evan Williams extra aged, its very smooth neat even more so on the rocks. I've never mixed this bourbon because for me it would be a crime to do so! I can recommend this bourbon to anyone who wants to try bourbon and don't be suprised if you keep coming back to this brand. It may be a "bottem shelf" bourbon but it definitely tastes like a bourbon 3 times its price range.

    A good bourbon.

I'm currently sitting on my balcony enjoying the sun of the Swedish spring, having a dram of this bourbon accompanied by a Swedish craft beer. Things could be worse. I don't usually go for a bourbon altough I tend to keep at least one bottle in my cabinet, for shaking thing up a bit. Buffalo trace and Four Roses small Batch being my go tos. This ain't far behind. I could easily see myself buying another bottle, and since it's cheaper than my usually suspects, why not? The tasting notes from the dudes of MoM are, as always, spot on.

    Dryer than most

    Good mixer. Not too sweet.

    Bottom shelf wonder

I’ve been drinking this for 40 years (insert joke here). As I explore the boutique bourbons, they have to significantly beat this. Often not accomplished. Sometimes you have to just admit that one of your old inexpensive juices is doing exactly what you are searching for. Love this stuff. Corn sweet, toffee some cinnamon. Not complex but not a single note wonder either. For me the BiBEW gives just a bit more. Still, an amazing bargain.
