Evan Williams is a brand of whiskey that has been around since 1783. The Evan Williams Extra Aged variety is a newer addition to the line, and it's made with Evan Williams' signature Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. This whiskey is aged for a minimum of seven years in new, charred oak barrels.
Evan Williams Extra Aged whiskey has a rich, amber colour and a distinctively smooth flavour. It's perfect for sipping on its own or using in cocktails. If you're looking for a truly unique whiskey experience, Evan Williams Extra Aged is definitely worth trying.
Rich with vanilla and caramel on the nose which continues on the palate, it's produced by the Heaven Hill company in Kentucky.
Caramel apples, spearmint, black pepper. A light hint of corn sits in the background. A slightly spicy kick of clove.
Raisins and walnuts. Creamy vanilla at the core, with an underpinning hint of vegetal oak. Zesty orange oil.
Quite spicy, with drying notes of cinnamon bark and pine nuts.
I thought i would give it a go i was suprise with such a generic taste it was a lot like a jim beam or jack daniels, it works best as a mixer personally, but on the rocks i don’t get anything from it
I’m new to Bourbon so forgive me for the lack of correct terminology. Has a big sweet almost brandy like smell, feels smooth with a dry and spicy finish. Surprisingly complex.
A few sips lead to a few more sips. It's a very moorish bourbon and very smooth.
i am very very new to whisky (4months ish ) i sip neat and ive only tried around 20 different ones but this one is my favourite so far
Have been drinking bourbon for a while. When you are young, you tend to drink mixed drinks. So, cheaper bourbons are fine. As you get older, you begin to appreciate the straight up tastes of Whiskies. I have tried some really tasty and expensive bourbons, however, Evan Williams is the most under rated bourbons out there. Blind tastings will confirm just how good this bourbon is, and how it stands against top shelf bourbons. Get over where it is on the shelf and try it.
