The first batch of Rock Oyster Cask Strength must have made quite an impression, as the folks at Douglas Laing have gone and released a second batch! This time weighing in a a hefty 56.1% ABV, this terrific Island whisky-based blended malt boasts coastal deliciousness by the bucket-load. 8,400 bottles were produced.
Brine, rye crackers, sea salt and just a tiny hint of caramelised fruit.
Toffee, rock pools, clean oak notes, flaky pastry and quince.
Slightly floral, though still smoky.

Excellent, please do it again!
Awesome blend. Peaty with a hint of salt. Ocean in a glass. Great stuff!
What an absolute treat this whisky is .....It is so smooth it can hardly be believed to be cask strength Personally I like a whisky with a bit more colour , but in the case of Rock Oyster Cask strength I'll just keep my eyes closed ......well done
EXCELLENT! Discovered and tasted this day with toast with walnuts/cod liver ..... that happiness! Smoked but not too much, a little taste of ocean that led us very quickly to cod liver toasts. not found in France, good value for money
