Douglas Laing
Rock Oyster Cask Strength #1 Whisky
Customer Rating
“Well I've tried a lot of whiskies recently almost all of them single cask and cask strength, and this one just keeps me coming back for more and more. It leaves this lingering taste reminiscent of liquorice root and aniseed, even the next day! I have not tried a drop of anything sense since opening this bottle. Testiment to the craftsmanship of this blend”

Description
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A big hit of coastal peat, tarry rope, tobacco, lime zest, candied fruit, white pepper and sea spray.
Palate
Quite tumultuous with hints of all sorts: capers, starfruit, seaweed, vanilla, honey, citrus, green wood, perhaps some heather? Evocative stuff.
Finish
Brine, citrus, dying smoke.
Overall
We’re no longer so much on the coast of the Scottish islands, but out to sea in the crashing waves (like that tube), with just a few reminders of our points of departure and arrival.
