This four-year-old single malt from Australia's Corowa distillery joins the Cinema Series from That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The whisky spent its time maturing in a muscat cask, imparting generous notes of figs and dates to the chocolatey malt at its core. The perfect whisky to sip on while you're watching Mad Max, according to those Boutique-y folks.
Batch 2 is a release of 300 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Dark layers of cocoa and muscovado sugar, honeyed dates, and figs, with hints of anise, and a touch of minerality beneath.
Hearty helpings of stewed, dried fruits lead the way, with juicy raisins and dates, Fig Roll biscuits, and robust malt.
Bittersweet cacao joins for the finish, with a touch of flinty minerality.
