Enjoy Bulleit Bourbon like the Americans do! Previously it has been bottled at 40% ABV for the UK market, but now you can get the Frontier Whiskey at 45% ABV, just like they have in Kentucky. A stunning whiskey that won a Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2012.
Give this a go in a smashing Mint Julep cocktail following the recipe below!
60ml Bulleit Bourbon
20ml Simple syrup (1 part sugar to 1 part water)
8-10 mint leaves, and three mint sprigs.
Pack a julep cup with crushed ice so it can start getting nice and cold. In a mixing glass, combine the bourbon, syrup, and mint leaves. Use a muddler to lightly bruise the leaves in the glass to release their flavour, then strain the contents into your julep cup. Garnish with three nice big sprigs of mint, (give them a little pat first, to release their minty aromas!) – then stick a straw in close by.
Bright with orange zest, toasted oak and vanilla.
Further orange notes, followed by some warming winter spices and a hint of tobacco leaf.
Smooth and spicy.
A new style of Bulleit (at least for us), but it's still as brilliant as ever!

An excellent if somewhat generic bourbon. I find it quite smooth and the 45% makes it a tad more interesting. I find that it works great in an old fashioned. All in all a good solid bourbon. Cheers!
The bourbon that changed my Islam loving tastebuds to the wonderful pleasure of good smooth toffee, caramel, roasted pecan nut gorgeousness of good bourbon, and opened the gate to Woodford, Buffalo Trace and eventually Whistle Pig. The only downside is I can now drink only the best Speysides and Highland malts, and special bottling of Islay’s best, thankfully Lagavulin being among them. An outstanding bourbon at any price
This is my staple Bourbon at the moment. I used to prefer Buffalo Trace, but this seems to have a little more caramel about it. Very nice and just a little bit too drinkable!
I have not previously been a bourbon drinker, finding them too sweet and preferring Island scotches, but the Bulleit (and the Rye version) changed my mind. Lots of vanilla without veering into sweetness. No idea about how it mixes, but it definitely is enjoyable neat and straight. For the price, worth trying.
The best bourbon ever in my opinion. Smoother than Makers.
