    Bulleit Bourbon

Enjoy Bulleit Bourbon like the Americans do! Previously it has been bottled at 40% ABV for the UK market, but now you can get the Frontier Whiskey at 45% ABV, just like they have in Kentucky. A stunning whiskey that won a Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2012.

Give this a go in a smashing Mint Julep cocktail following the recipe below!

    60ml Bulleit Bourbon

20ml Simple syrup (1 part sugar to 1 part water)

8-10 mint leaves, and three mint sprigs.

Pack a julep cup with crushed ice so it can start getting nice and cold. In a mixing glass, combine the bourbon, syrup, and mint leaves. Use a muddler to lightly bruise the leaves in the glass to release their flavour, then strain the contents into your julep cup. Garnish with three nice big sprigs of mint, (give them a little pat first, to release their minty aromas!) – then stick a straw in close by.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Bright with orange zest, toasted oak and vanilla.

    Palate

Further orange notes, followed by some warming winter spices and a hint of tobacco leaf.

    Finish

    Smooth and spicy.

    Overall

A new style of Bulleit (at least for us), but it's still as brilliant as ever!

    Great

I hadn't liked bourbon before but when given a bottle of Bulleit I tried it and wow was I converted. Smooth ,sweetish and a delightful aroma.

Smooth fruity with a nice citrus tang. Great value for money.

This is probably my favourite bourbon at the moment. It is Sweet but not overly so and I really love the citrus notes. I always enjoy it on the rocks but reckon that it will mix well in an old fashioned.

    Nice Semi-Rye.

Good bang for the buck. On sale for Ca. 20 usd (179 kr.) here in Denmark. Not as sweet as some bourbons. Like a Rye whiskey, spice, wood and orange fruits dominate. A bit "hot", but very drinkable neat.

    Very good bourbon

I usully drink JD of JB. I tried this one and it is very good. Probably slightly better than JD and JB but also more expensive. I drink it on the rocks.
