This single malt from Royal Brackla joins the Old Particular collection from independent bottler Douglas Laing. Distilled in November 2010, the whisky matured for a dozen years in a refill hogshead, with a total of 309 bottles released when it was opened in 2023.
Creamy porridge oats and dustings of cinnamon, with biscuity malt and roasted almonds in support.
Cooked fruits and boiled sweets are backed by flamed citrus, juicy barley, and leathery oak.
Smoked caramel brings things to a close, with charred oak and sweet toasted spices.
