Benrinnes 8 Year Old 2008 (cask 11072) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)
An 8 year old Benrinnes, bottled by Douglas Laing for their Provenance range. It was distilled in Speyside in 2008 and set aside in a refill hogshead until March 2016, when said cask was cracked open and emptied of its delicious whisky.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Shows off very well for its age, with generous helpings of oak spice, old leather and honey'd barley.
Palate
More honey, buckets of vanilla ice cream and a burst of citrus flesh.
Finish
Brioche and marmalade.
