19 year old Benrinnes single malt Scotch whisky, drawn from a single refill hogshead. This was distilled in October 1997 and set aside to mature until February 2017, when Hunter Laing bottled it up for their Old Malt Cask range. 316 bottles were produced. An excellent showcase of the classic vanilla-rich notes of Benrinnes.
Poached pear, caramelised barley and a hint of sea salt.
Melon, mango and layers of sugary fudge. A touch of black pepper creeps in on the mid-palate.
Heavy cream, vanilla tablet.
