A splendid addition to Signatory's independent Cask Strength Collection – 21 year old single malt from Benriach! Distilled back in May 2000, the whisky spent 20 years maturing in refill butts, before a final 12 months finishing off in a fresh sherry butt. In August 2021, the cask was opened to release a total outturn of 685 bottles, at cask strength of 59.2% ABV. Just look at the deep ruby hue on this whisky! Cor!
Sweet, jammy berries, roasty coffee, chocolate raisins, and resinous oak.
Woody spice continues with the addition of warming ginger and cinnamon, buttery pain aux raisin brings a sweet, fruity balance.
Roasted nuts and cakey spice, a touch of treacle, crunchy almond butter.
