Benriach 10 Year Old 2008 (cask 12939) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

A deliciously sweet 10 year old Benriach single malt, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range. This one was distilled in December 2008 and left to age in a refill hogshead until December 2018, when it was bottled at 48.4% ABV with an outturn of 370 bottles.

Nose

Buttered brioche, raisins and maple syrup on pancakes.

Palate

Flapjacks, black pepper and a touch of tomato stem.

Finish

Strawberry jam on toast and ginger root.
